“Stonewall” Obama: Republicans Now Face Accepting Whatever the President Wants

No more Mister Nice Guy.

“As I have explained to people in that group, they cannot hold the president of the United States hostage,” said Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev. “If they think they’re going to rewrite this bill and Barack Obama is going to walk away from what he is trying to do for the American people, they’ve got another thought coming.”

Harry Reid is tired of the Republicans trying to change the president’s stimulus bill.

And Barak Obama is tired of the Republicans trying to change the president’s stimulus bill.

“We’re not having meaningful negotiations. … It’s a bad way to start,” said Senator John McCain.

Senator Lindsey Graham said the system was broken, the bill was wrong and the president was AWOL.

This is starting to look infantile.  Yet each day the discussion drags on, fewer voters say in polls they favor the origional House stimulus bill.

McCain said President  Obama “gave the Democrats the leeway to basically shut out Republicans starting with the House and now here in the Senate, and I don’t think that’s good.”

McCain’s nickname of “Maverick” was bestowed upon him because he so often crosses party lines to make agreements.

Barack Obama might earn the nickname “Stonewall” before this is all over.

Too bad too after all that “bipartisan” talk….
