Senator Lindsey Graham said the system was broken, the bill was wrong and the president was AWOL.
This is starting to look infantile. Yet each day the discussion drags on, fewer voters say in polls they favor the origional House stimulus bill.
McCain said President Obama “gave the Democrats the leeway to basically shut out Republicans starting with the House and now here in the Senate, and I don’t think that’s good.”
McCain’s nickname of “Maverick” was bestowed upon him because he so often crosses party lines to make agreements.
Barack Obama might earn the nickname “Stonewall” before this is all over.
